On September 20, the National Energy Administration released data regarding national electricity consumption for August and other relevant figures.

In August, total national electricity consumption reached 96.49 billion kilowatt-hours, reflecting an increase of 8.9% compared to the same month last year. Analyzing electricity consumption by sector reveals that the first industry consumed 1.49 billion kilowatt-hours, marking a rise of 4.6%; the second industry accounted for 56.79 billion kilowatt-hours, up by 4.0%; the third industry's consumption was recorded at 1.903 billion kilowatt-hours, showing an increase of 11.2%; while urban and rural residents' usage amounted to 1.918 billion kilowatt-hours, which is a significant rise of 23.7%.

From January to August, cumulative national electricity consumption totaled approximately 65.219 billion kilowatt-hours, representing a year-on-year growth of 7.9%. Of this total, industrial electricity generation contributed significantly with a figure of around 62.379 billion kilowatt-hours.
