A. Equipment Aspect - Sand Mill

•Dispersing disc: The dispersing disc may be installed incorrectly, loose, or cracked.

•Separation device: There may be gaps in the dynamic sieve ring, and the sieve mesh may be damaged.

•Feed pump: When the gear pump suddenly shuts off, the pressure inside the sand mill will push the beads back into the pump.

This can be mitigated by adding a check valve and regularly cleaning the feed pump.

•Inner cylinder: There may be defects in the inner cylinder.

B. Production Operation Aspect:

•Mixed use of different-sized beads: Initially, this may improve grinding efficiency, but over time, larger beads may grind smaller beads, ultimately leading to the deformation and breakage of smaller beads. The solution is to use beads with uniform particle size as much as possible.

•Mixed use of beads from different brands: Due to variations in hardness, density, etc., using beads from different brands can lead to situations where harder beads wear down softer beads. This practice should be avoided.

•Slurry viscosity too low or too high: Compared to a certain density of grinding medium, this can lead to bead accumulation and direct contact with wearing parts of the sand mill, accelerating bead wear and breakage.

•Excessive material flow rate: This can cause bead congestion at the material outlet, accelerating wear of beads and sand mill components at this location. The solution is to intermittently start the machine to loosen the congested grinding beads, redistribute them evenly, and then adjust the material flow rate.
