Pros and Cons of Titanium Rings

29 Feb.,2024

Titanium is the 9th most abundant chemical element in the earth, named after the Titans of Greek mythology for its sheer strength and durability. Commonly used in aerospace engineering and in medicine, titanium has been widely recognized and has positively impacted the world in many ways since its discovery. Majority of the structure of the Space Shuttle consists of aircraft grade titanium, and because of its harmlessness to living tissues, it is also frequently used as joint replacements, dental implants, and prosthetic devices in the medical field. Other than being used as engineering material, this precious metal is also found in objects used in daily life.

Titanium in jewelry rings is not entirely unheard of; it is frequently used in Platinum as an alloy to enhance its luminosity and glow, however, only recently have people begun to delve into the idea of jewelry rings made entirely out of titanium. Titanium earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and brooches have been made, and titanium rings are becoming increasingly more common as its benefits as an ornament are being recognized by many.
