Recent data released by the National Bureau of Statistics regarding energy production for August 2024 indicates that planned industrial raw coal output reached 400 million tons, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 2.8%, consistent with the growth rate observed in July. Additionally, planned industrial crude oil production amounted to 17.83 million tons in August, representing a year-on-year

 

Recent data released by the National Bureau of Statistics regarding energy production for August 2024 indicates that planned industrial raw coal output reached 400 million tons, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 2.8%, consistent with the growth rate observed in July. Additionally, planned industrial crude oil production amounted to 17.83 million tons in August, representing a year-on-year rise of 2.1%. Furthermore, planned industrial natural gas output was recorded at 20 billion cubic meters for August, marking an increase of 9.4%, which is 1.5 percentage points higher than the growth rate seen in July. Lastly, planned industrial electricity generation totaled 907.4 billion KWH in August—a year-on-year increase of 5.8%—which is also an acceleration of 3.3 percentage points compared to July's figures.
