Reported by Spanish newspaper "Abez" on October 10, China is leading the global green energy race. By 2030, it is projected that China will contribute nearly 60% of the more than 5,500 gigawatts of new renewable energy installed capacity expected over the next six years and will account for almost half of global renewable energy generation. This development is significant, as renewable energy sources are anticipated to meet half of global electricity demand by the end of this century.

China has emerged as the country with the most substantial solar infrastructure expansion. This growth can be attributed to both large-scale government initiatives in energy projects and an increasing adoption of solar panels in residential settings.

The International Energy Agency (IEA) reports that at the current pace, global installed capacity for renewable energy is set to increase by a factor of 2.7 by 2030 compared to levels recorded in 2023.

Executive Director of IEA, Fatih Birol, stated that the pace of renewable energy development has surpassed the targets set by various governments. This progress is fundamentally attributed to efforts aimed at "reducing emissions and enhancing energy security." Furthermore, it is evident that "today, renewables are the most economical choice for nearly all countries."
