Hydraulic Lift & Electric Lift

27 Mar.,2024

A hydraulic lift runs on hydraulic mechanism which injects oil in a shaft that pushes up a piston by pressure allowing a comfortable pressure rise of the car. This system works with an electric motor that works only at the time of the ascent, where the compressed oil performs the rise. But the decline is related to gravity where the oil returns to the site of origin gradually. While it runs on compression, an electric lift uses gears to control the mechanical movement of elevator. Geared traction machines have AC or DC electric motors to drive the force and a gearbox is installed to control movement by rolling steel ropes over a drive sheave attached to a gearbox. These lifts have a promising speeds up to 3 m/s (500 ft/min). For variable speed, DC machines were preferred.
