I wash and reuse all of my MF towels after every wash, cleaning, or detail. I’m sure most members do this as well and it’s perfectly fine.

A little trick to help start off the cleaning process is to have a couple buckets on the side and fill them up with warm water and some MF detergent. After using each MF towel, just toss them in the bucket so they start to soak and release the contaminants while you finish washing, cleaning, or detailing your car.

Most people who separate their MF towels in groups do so by interior, exterior, and wheels or paint safe and non-paint safe. I go a little bit further and separate them into smaller groups. For the paint safe towels I’ll divide them into two groups, water soluble (polish, cleaners) and non-water soluble (wax, sealant, qd). The drying towels get washed seperately with almost no detergent. The general interior towels and the towels used for the wheels get washed seperately as well, but obviously with detergent.

P.S. – I’d recommend running your washer twice, once with vinegar and once with bleach, to clean the inside before using it to wash your MF towels.
