Question: What do you need to know about my oil leak?
Answer: We need to know the type of vehicle or equipment and its age. Plus, where you suspect the leak is coming from.

Question: How bad does an oil leak have to be before Liquid Intelligence 230 won’t work?
Answer: An excessive oil leak from a seal would indicate that it is gouged, cracked or mechanically unsound and probably needs replacing. But if your vehicle is only dropping a few spots to a small puddle of oil on the driveway every time they take it for a drive then that would normally indicate that the seal has lost a bit of structural integrity, elasticity and volume. If that’s the case, then Liquid Intelligence 230 should repair that type oil leak.

Question: What makes seals suddenly started to leak?
Answer: All seals degrade over time and eventually shrink and subsequently leak. But only a small proportion of the seals chemical composition depletes. Those depleted chemicals are called the volatiles. And they are the bit that had given the seal it’s structural integrity, elasticity and volume.

The volatiles are made up of a wide range of chemicals, but the major constituents are a group collectively and generically called phenol esters.

The liquid Intelligence 230 formulation contains a combination of those exact same chemical additives… And decades of use have proven that these additives can rejuvenate dried and hardened seals and gaskets and can stop most oil leaks.

Question: How do I use Liquid Intelligence 230?
Answer: To get the best results Liquid Intelligence 230 is used at 100mls per litre of oil. It generally takes seven to fourteen hours of accumulative driving (about two weeks on normal daily driving) to rejuvenate a seal. But can take longer depending on the seals density, condition and age. Liquid Intelligence 230 stays in the oil for the life of the oil. If you are ready to change your oil…change it before adding Liquid Intelligence 230. If you have plenty of life left in your oil, then just add it.

Question: How long does the rejuvenating effects of Liquid Intelligence 230 last?
Answer: If Liquid Intelligence 230 is applied correctly the rejuvenating effects on the seals tend to last for about two years after the next oil change. It can also be reapplied successfully multiple time until wear prevents the seal from being functional.

Question: How does liquid intelligence 230 get into the seal to rejuvenates it?
Answer: Liquid Intelligence 230 is activated by the heat of the engine or gearbox. When the vehicle has reached full running temperature the oil viscosity reduces, and the seals expand. And their exposed surfaces become porous. The business end of the Liquid Intelligence 230 has a super low viscosity compared to the oil. The 230 will blend with the oil, but it simply uses the oil to get to the surface of the seal. Once interfacing with the seal, it will permeate from one to the other like a dry sponge. This absorption process will eventually return some of those characteristics back into the seal which once prevented from leaking.

Question: Where can I use liquid intelligence 230?
Answer: Liquid Intelligence 230 is recommended to be used in transmissions, transfer boxes, engines, differentials, and power steering units. It will rejuvenate the thirteen known rubber seals and gaskets that have been used 1950’s. It is also recommended to be use on leaking timing chain covers where an alkyl resin caulking compound or R.T.V rubber sealant has been used. Plus, it will rejuvenate cork gaskets that were produced after the 1970’s because they were nearly always a composite material of rubber and cork.
